Intro to Mindfulness Meditation
A six week series that builds knowledge and experience. Open to all.
Service Description
In this 6-week Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation, learn how to practice mindfulness through both direct experience and guided conversation. Each week, we’ll investigate a new aspect of mindfulness and discuss its connection to our daily lives. Learn how to become more grounded in your body, emotions, and thoughts, and how to cultivate more kindness for yourself and others. Mindfulness meditation has been shown to help reduce depression and anxiety, manage chronic pain, and strengthen emotional regulation. This class is for everyone, from total newcomers and seasoned practitioners. It is highly recommended that this series be taken for all six weeks, instead of dropping in. The information and experience builds on the previous week for the most meaningful experience. Catherine Epstein is a certified educator with 15 years of teaching experience, including nearly a decade in the classroom.
