Beginner Country Two-Step & Swing Dance

Service Description

Learn the basic steps to these fun iconic social dances (Country 2- Step/Foxtrot and Swing/Jitterbug) in the heart of Downtown Lexington. We will jam to classic and current up tempo beats that will have us enjoying ourselves while we become fitter, meet some nice new folks, and learn to dance. You do not need any previous dance experience, and you do not need a partner. If you can walk and talk at the same time you are in! Note, if you took any of our previous Swing, Cha Cha, Hustle, or Salsa classes you will be able to build on many familiar concepts. If you do come with a partner (gender is not relevant), we will teach the lead and follow parts based on each person’s preference. Comfortable shoes with non-stick soles (rubber athletic shoes will grab to the wood floor and not allow you to slide and spin properly) and clothes that are comfy and cool when you are moving will be best. Please consider that we will be on our feet for an hour moving to up tempo dance music. Be sure you feel physically able, so you can really enjoy the entire experience. The class is open to couples $150 or singles $75.
